does anyone remember the 3 day week in the 70s like i do the mins just before the lights went out in merthyr we used to stand on the wall in the park by the pandy clock waiting for the big switch off then walking home down to caepantywll in the dark then when we got home the house was lit by candles and my parents were constantly buying candles by the shed load all these things come back with fond memories thank god never again fingers crossed eh?....

I remember spending many evenings by candlelight in the early seventies.....weren't the power cuts in relation to the miners strikes?

hi yes they were and good times they were as a kid that was cos now as a parent how the hell would we cope nowadays eh?cheers andy..

You're right they were good times, very family orientated...not like a lot a families lives these days
