Hello from Australia.
My gggrandmother was Sarah Watkins. She married an Englishman in London, in 1844 and had 4 children: the youngest was Jane, my ggrandmother.
I am having trouble locating Sarah's origins albeit she gave such as "Bracknick, Radnorshire, Wales" on the 1851 English census!!
I realise this address couldn't be right. After much searching, paid and otherwise, i am linking her with a family who lived on a property called BRYNJACK, Brecknockshire as per the 1841 census for the area. The family was headed by William and Mary Watkins (nee Davies, from Merthyr Tydfil) and the census shows 4 children, not including a Sarah, but given when William and Mary were married [1816] and the birth of the eldest boy Evan in 1822 i'm speculating a Sarah might belong in front!
Could anyone advise if i am in the right area or not for locating a property by the name of BRYNJACK?
