Did anyone attend the Methodist chapel in Aberfan during the 1950's?(Opposite the old cinema). As a young boy I attended regularly-the old man saw to that! The lay preacher was a Mr. Small,-he was too!-but not in his faith I'm sure. His son-in-law was the late Cyril Vaughn who also taught at Pantglas Senior school, Aberfan. Last time I visited Aberfan it was partially boarded up and sadly no longer in use. Mr. Vaughn's wife used to teach at the Sunday school,also. Some days I just used to take a walk along the River Taff instead!(confession!). The chapel was always well attended. Would be nice to hear from anyone.
