My 3xgreat grandparents married in George Town on 1 April 1850.
I would like to find an entry of their marriage in a church register (I have a copy of the statutory marriage certificate).
I have no idea how many churches/chapels there were in George Town at that time. Can any help?
Thanks Sandy

Hello Sandy, To find out about Churches and Chapels you could have a look at our Churches and Chapel Index, which was created by Mr. Tom Hier. The index shows: - The Church's Name
- Denomination
- Street
- Area
- When it was Built.
- When it was Rebuilt (If it was)
- When it was Demolished
- The Meaning of the Church Name
- Notes about the Church
- Burial Details (for some)
- & If we have a photograph of the Church
The list is in alphabetical order and is set out over two pages. Page 1: www.alangeorge.co.uk/chapelsandchurchs.htmPage 2: www.alangeorge.co.uk/chapelsandchurchs_2.htmHope this helps, Lloyd
