Hi there - am in the very initial stages of building a family history tree - my grandparents (Hill) lived in (I think) 16, Tycloed or maybe Tyclwyd Street, old Merthyr Tydfil (back in the 70's and early 80's we used to visit them, so I know it existed, but maybe I'm spelling it wrongly as I cant seem to get anything on searches). We used to drive home after, (back to Mid Wales) up over the valleys road and Mum used to point out where "Old Whitey/Snowy" tip was/used to be - she and her siblings used to take an old pram up there or to another tip to glean scraps of coal to keep the house warm (back in the late 1930's/40's)..... I was very sad last year to visit that area and find it all gone! I would love to have scattered some rose petals and said a few 'thank you' words where their house 'used to be', but had no idea how to find it, so any info on Tycloed/Tyclwyd Street very welcome...Im going to request family info in the correct forum when I have some details... Many thanks and kindest regards
