Anyone recall Elvis Costello's gig in Tiffany's, must have been about 1979. Always struck as me as odd that he played Tiffany's he had been a force in the charts for about two years at the time of his apparance.

Hi rhodfa
I was there! I can remember some guys were spitting at the band and Elvis stopped singing and told them to stop or the band would!

Hi I remember being at this gig. Absolutely brilliant. As you say I could never quite understand why he picked Tiffany's in Merthyr but it was our gain. I saw Elvis the next day in Robert Barker's. A trendy clothes shop opposite the library. I was far too shy to speak to him or ask for an autograph. In the gig I had my girlfriend on my shoulders for much of it. Nearly killed me, not that she was large or anything, far from it, but having an adult on your shoulders and still trying to pogo wasn't the wisest thing. Great memories.
