I attended Quakers Yard G.S 1948/52. During this time I remember watching an international match in Cardiff where two Merthyr boys were playing. One was Ray Nicholls (Aberfan) the other I believe was named Williams. I kept the match programme for some years before handing it over to Merthyr Library. Whilst at QYGS two boys represented Wales at under 14's. They were John Jones (possibly Aberfan) and Ken Evans (Treharris). I do hope you find this of some interest. Ron Daviesu

Ray Nicholls was from M.Vale and the Williams who was mentioned was my dad Alan Malcolm Williams also from M.Vale. Sadly dad passed away suddenly last Saturday April 4th. If you look at my Facebook page I have just posted a few pics and things. We do have a lot more.
