hi this is my first post,anyway ,i worked for shwepps in the sixties,and delivered all around merthyr,im trying to remember,the name of the club that was in the main st on the right as you travel toward dowlais,also thomas,s fish shop as i can recall was always a busy place,i used to make sure i delivered to the hover factory at lunch time, and i had many a good dinner in the canteen for "half a crown",there are so many places i cant rember now,i also delivered to all the colliery canteens in the valleys, i must congratulate the people who made this website ,very well done, you should be proud ;D

Thomas's fish shop was on the bend of Victoria street by the Taff. Best fish and chips ever.

Bryn Thomas was sort of an uncle to us and would always give us some chips when we went to see him
