Many subjects that are presented on this forum have a large amount of views but have little or no replies. It would be very nice if a short reply was given to show why it was viewed, for example: family name, home town etc. This idea made a big difference to another forum I am registered on. Keep up the good work. Take CareBob J

Can`t see that working, I view every post that`s made on/in the forums, just out of interest, but seldom have anything constructive (or otherwise) to add to them, but if I didn`t read them, I would not know if I had any thing to add or not ... if you see what I mean ??
another point I`d make is , can you imagine how long a thread would get if every view generated such a reply? it would become un manageable, and any useful post could get lost among the numbers.
I`m presuming from what you suggest about the viewer

It appears that the #1 reply to this post confused the issue by injecting that some postings are placed in the wrong place, true enough, but that is not the subject of the original post. I am in agreement with the original post. Being involved with many forums in the past 20 years of Genealogy searches I have found many distant relatives by following up on a comment that was left by the viewers.
