My great grandmother, Maria James was born at Penwaunfawr, Lower Merthry Tydfill (or Dowlais). She was born approx 1844 and married at Zoar Chapel, Merthyr Tydfill 30th July 1870. I have been trying to locate Penwaunfawr and Zoar Chapel but with no luck. If anyone could help I would be very grateful. Anne

James, I have copied your above post to its own thread. I think it will be answered more specifically if it is placed on its own. The new thread is called 'James Family History - Penwaunfawr'
Thanks,
Lloyd

Thank you for dealing with my query. James is my user name- should I have used my own name instead? I am new to this! Anne anne_patterson@hotmail.co.uk
