I'd appreciate any information on Francis William Hugh Lewis born in Merthyr Tydfil about 1887 and died there on 17 Apr 1926. thanks in advance.

There are two newspaper obits for a Captain Francis.W.H.Lewis aged 39 of Idloes House Parl Crescent Merthyr Tydfil in Merthyr Express Newspaper on page 10 April 24th 1926 and page 6 May 8th edition. He was the son of Mr Hugh Lewis & late Mrs lewis. It says he joined army as a private in August 1914 and was promoted through the ranks to be a Captain and had been mentioned in dispatches twice.I hope this is the man you are looking for.
