I am looking for any information on David Richard Griffiths. Born 1890. Raised in Llanbadarn Trefeglys, Married Mary Anne Jones and had a daughter, Mary (born about 1910), and later a son, maybe more? David was a collier and died in 1954 and lived at 2 Stephens Terrace, Troedyrhiw. Anybody recognize the name or able to give any family information? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Mike, Thank You! This is exactly the right person! Do you have a website for the Merthyr Express? I'd love to read and copy that obit! I'll also try to find a link to Aberfan Cemetery. Do you know of a way to see if the children still live in the area? Dave Lewis California, USA

Dave There is a website with the newspaper on line but it does not have that year on they only goes up to about 1920 I think. Website is WELSH NEWSPAPERS ON LINE by the NATIONAL LIBRARY OF WALES. You could send an Email to Merthyr Tydfil central library They can send you a copy of the obit if you give them the details etc. Only way I know of to see if his children still live locally is if you put a notice in the Merthyr Express newspaper asking for any info about them.
