I know the OP was some time ago now but I thought it worth responding. Martha Bevan was also my Gt.Grandmother. I have my Grandmother's birth certificate in front of me (Elizabeth Ann) and I can confirm that the Address is 6 Back of Colliers Arms, Georgetown. I found this link to some old pictures of the Colliers Arms www.alangeorge.co.uk/Georgetown.htm Cheers, Glenn

There is entry in the absent voters list for a PRIVATE GEORGE BEVAN serving in the 15TH BATTALION LABOUR CORPS army number 259040 living at number 6 BACK OF COLLIERS ARMS GEORGETOWN MERTHYR TYDFIL in 1918-19 . In earlier reply forgot to say houses at back of pub were also called POPLAR COTTAGES .

There are also two entries in the absent voters list 1918-19 for a PRIVATE HENRY GROVES serving in ROYAL WELCH FUSILIERS. army number 69916 also a PRIVATE THOMAS GROVES. serving in 12TH C.C.B CYCLING Cp. army number 7629 i think C.C.B might be short for ( CARDIFF CITY BATTALION WELSH REGIMENT ) might be wrong though ? both living at 3 FRONWEN TERRACE PENYDARREN . These might be brothers or cousins .
