The White horse, i lived almost next door at #1 Alexander Terrace,never got to go in to young but a favorate of my dads and my uncle Tom Powell;who also visited the Labor club

If it's the one down the bottom of Twyn Hill, yes. When I was a nipper I used to go to piano lessons just down the road to Mrs Jeans, it was a butcher's shop and Mrs Jeans took lessons in the house part. The bus from town always stopped just up from the Whit Horse, and by the side of the betting shop there used to be a barbers, I think it was called Steve's, an Italian gentleman who used to cut you hair and tell you to watch the "hole in the wall as there might be a mouse coming out!"
