Hello, I am researching information on Sunday Schools in Wales - and can find very little. If anybody can give me some leads, I would be grateful. There was a Hannah Bowen (an ancestor) who was involved, but I know little more than that. sincerely, Rachel Bowen

Hi Rachel-I just joined this forum today .I expect you've tried most sites for info.Google has free online books-if you type in Welsh Sunday schools on books.google.co.uk there are quite a few full view texts or passages from texts e.g.' Annals of British Legislation'... or 'Reports of the Commissioners of Inquiry'.Powys Digital history project has some info too.Best regards Bronwen

I have recently been led to believe that school records, if they survive, will be at Glamorgan Record office.

Thanks Bronwen and Minstrel,
I have tried all sorts, and have at present, just come up with lists of things, not full reports. I'll try your links.

Hi Rachel
I went to St-John's in Dowlais from 1958, I have asked my Mother to find out what records are still in Dowlais.
Is there anything specific you would like?
Colin
