Could anyone please help me. Im looking for information on what is now the Guest keen Club does this building have an offical name.

It was originally a Library and Reading room.

If you go to the web site www.data-wales.co.uk/guest it gives information of Sir Joshua Guest manager of the Dowlais steel works. Sir Joshua married Lady Charlotte, (nee Bertie)that was born of an Earl. Lady Charlotte Guest was best known for her translation of the welsh mabinogion.

The Guest Keen Club has now been sold Due to financial difficulties, i know this is of no relevance to the question but i thought i would just let people know

That is a great shame; I was told that GKN still looked after the Building, if that is not the case, then the upkeep must be expensive.
I remember going there with Colin Tasker who’s father was the works manager in my early teens, they would dare not serve him, good times.

The Guest Keen Memorial Hall is now a fully functioning Club. Indeed, I am having my wedding reception there soon!!!!

The Guest Keen Memorial Hall is now a fully functioning Club. Indeed, I am having my wedding reception there soon!!!! I've heard it's supposed to be very plush since it's been taken over, and that the food is very good. When is your wedding?

i used to visit when i worked in ifor works very grand looking building remmemer had table tenis upstairs

Hi Mike Griffiths What year did you work at the ifor works ? My father used to work there up untill 1977 when he was involved in a accident dis you know him his name was Adrian Newman, thank you in advance.
