I recently did my 🧬 test with ancestry. I’m researching my family tree. My fathers Smith family originated in Scotland, so far we’ve gone back to early 1700s. My grandfather was born in Pengarnddu. The family later lived in Union Street. My grandmother name before marriage was ‘Jones’. We’ve got a few unanswered queries about my grandmother’s brothers. Not least of all a brother whose not named as a brother so thereafter , the name he was known as, perhaps wasn’t his real name. Also one brother came back from ww1 and according to a number of family members (that are still living), this brother and another died in a mining accidents. But none of the Jones that we are researching are recorded as fatalities in the area mining disasters? How do I go forward?
