It strikes me that since the untimely death of Alan George and the few contributions hitherto, the site is finished? Hope I'm wrong, but it does appear to have ground to a halt. Shame, such a great site. What do others think?

The Old Merthyr Website is now being run by Alan's son and a small group of volunteers. Everyone is working extremely hard, in quite difficult circumstances to keep the site going. There are literally thousands of photographs and slides that need to be sorted, scanned, edited and labelled before they can can be uploaded to the site. The volunteers have many other commitments and Alan's son is working full-time, but everyone is devoting all of their spare time to the site.
The few contributions mentioned constitute a monthly update, and there are many other projects in the pipeline to improve the site. Alan devoted many years to his site, and the volunteers are trying their hardest to carry on his good work, but are 'learning on the job'.
Perhaps if everyone knows the circumstances they will understand the difficulties being faced. Volunteers are always welcome if they want to help to keep the site going.
