Harry Secombe visited Afon Taf School in 1972, he had been making a film called Sunstruck which was made in Australia if memory serves me right. I think the Afon Taf School choir sang on the soudtrack.
I didnt see Harry but I did see Ronnie Williams of Ryan and Ronnie fame, he must have had something to do with the film, he asked us kids where the headmasters office was.
Sadly the film died a death.

I can't remember him coming to Afon Taf, but they did ask my mother if they could look at my push bike as they wanted to borrow it for him to ride down the hill from Webster street school to Trelewis. However my bike was too modern looking for them.
