I have found more on Ezer Davies again referring to him in Troedyrhiw: Translation This was written by JAMES , JOHN LLOYD ( Clwydwenfro ; 1835 - 1919 ), Congregational minister and historian. Of course, it doesn't mention that he was a preacher in Troedyrhiw. Clwydwenfro himself was a preacher in Dowlais "He ministered at Capel Ifor , Dowlais , 1869-75". Maybe this is the time he met Ezer Davies in Troedyrhiw. If so, Ezer would have been at the end of his life and died in 1873. wbo.llgc.org.uk/en/s-JAME-LLO-1835.html

Hello,
I live a hundred yards or so up the street from Saron in Morgan-Jones Square which is a row of old miners cottages off Chapel Street.
I know little of how it came about but can report that volunteers have begun work in the graveyard....probably a good year or so ago, now....and much has been done. The graveyard retaining wall on Chapel Street and Tyntaldwyn Rd. which was in a bad state and in danger of collapsing into the street has been fixed and the graveyard itself has been tidied-up and is no longer a mass of brambles and weeds. I heard that the intention is to get rid of the rubble from the demolished chapel and to create a memorial garden there.
Certainy, it is not the eyesore that it was and for that I am personally grateful to all those that gave up their time to help make this happen.
Does anyone have more reliable info on what the goal of the project is?
