Does anyone know where the Nelson Inn is/was? I have an info saying 30 Pontmorlais (Was Morlais Bridge), I'm not too sure where exactly this would be. My great grandfather Thomas Nimrod Williams apparently was the the landlord for a time in the 1890s. If it's still standing, I'd love to know where it is!

Hello Grace the NELSON INN was next door to THE PENYDARREN END INN on PONTMORLAIS lower down the road from the TREVETHICK monument third building from road junction. The building is still there it is now an off licence/shop .There are photos of the pub on this website if you look on GOOGLEMAPS street view you can see it as it is today on street view it is the blue and white painted building next to Chinese takeaway CHOI SHING. I would love to know who was landlord in the early 1920's, in fact anything around that time would be of great interest. My maternal grandmother used to work there at the time my mother was born. Also, there used to be a solicitor's office opposite, and I've been trying to identify it without success. Peter
