I need some help with finding information on my family who lived behind the antelope in Dowlais between 1896 and around 1920. My grampas father (who he never had the chance to meet) lived there with his family when young. His name is Benjamin Morgan. Brothers Evan and Thos. Mother Margaret and father John (who died at a young age).
Any ideas on how i can start my search would be amazing. I would love to find some information for my grampa.

Hello Do you know any dates of birth or dates of death or marriages and their jobs for any of them and a street name and number then they could be looked at in 1901 or 1911 census you can search on www.Ancestry or www.Findmypast for free in the Libraries in Wales don't know about the rest of UK. The 1939 REGISTER on FINDMYPAST if a person is found on that it gives their actual date of birth and if an obituary is in the local newspaper they can be searched for, these sometimes give a lot of info about work and family members. If you can give more to start with the better chance you have of finding the right family there is .I hope this helps you start. Mike

Hi Teresa, I might be able to help you a little bit, I'm researching my family tree, my Grandad was Evan John Jenkins and he was Florence's brother, Rosina was my Great Grandmother, they lived in Troedyrhiw and then Pentrebach. It would be great to swap stories!
