The Webcam shows fab views of the outside of the Civic Centre!
O.K. Only Joking!
Why isn't it located to show some more interesting views of the town?
What do you think?

Thanks for the link. I notice they have not bothered to put the clock back on the webcam. It is one hour fast.

I recently came back to Merthyr for a visit and nearly cried when I saw the state of the High street. Surely the council could do something about the weeds growing out of the old shops and the old Town Hall.

I think it's important to record our history. If google fetches it up, ok. If not we're d**ned!

I am sure you will be pleased to know that the old Town Hall is being taken over and renovated by The Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association. There is a board outside the building portraying the intended future of the complex to be. Very interesting, a perfect position in the town and sure to please all the people that are proud of the towns heritage.

Thanks for all your help.i am hoping someone can help me with this. Around the early 1920 s. My grandparents lost everything in a house fire. They lived in Twynrodyn and had young children. I have tried often to find out more ,but typically didn't ask when they were all still around. The name was Bathurst (Tommy and Martha )despite having an unusual name no one seems to have heard of. Us Thanks just in case.
